This is our first release in 2026. In the last two months, we upgraded our infrastructure and revised code architecture in preparation for the launch of the new institutional portal. In a separate note to follow, we will lay out the release plan for the new institutional portal.
Below are the highlights of the bug fixes and UI updates included in this release.
Financial Coach and Counselor Portal
New Details in Counselor Profile History
Clicking on the "Profile History" icon reveals the change history of the counselor user account.
The details include the fields changed, date updated, and the individual user who made those changes.
Consumer and Small Business User Portal
Updated Sign-Up Process to Simplify Error Corrections
The updated sign-up process includes the following changes:
Removed the link for new users to update the email address entered before its verification. Instead of changing the email address mid-way through the sign-up process, users who entered the incorrect email address can start the process again using the correct email address.
-
Mobile phone numbers entered will be deleted from the database after 48 hours if the sign-up process is incomplete. This will allow users who entered incorrect personal info but used their only and correct phone number in the failed sign-up to restart the sign-up process after 48 hours.
Institutional User Portal
Improved UI/UX for Refunding Overpayment of a Paid Off Loan
A new confirmation pop-up was added after user clicks on the icon to refund overpayment of a paid-off loan. To avoid confusion, the pop-up now lists all possible options for refunding the borrower. Previously, only the currently available option (e.g. only "Offline Refund" option is available after 30 days of last payment) is presented.
Updated Threshold for Resuming Automatic ACH Following a Manual ACH Payment
Automatic ACH is put hold for loans that experienced repeated missing payments. Previously, a successful manual ACH payment by the borrower will remove this hold and resume automatic ACH. We added new conditions for resuming automatic ACH. Not only the borrower initiated ACH needs to be successful, but it will also need to match or exceed the invoiced amount for automatic ACH to resume.
