In this release, we made UX improvements related to adding bank accounts on the Consumer and Small Business Portal and updated the data structure on the Financial Coach and Counselor Portal to streamline the workflow for creating new accounts.
Consumer and Small Business User Portal
Added Notice Prompted by "Add Account" Asking User to Grant Necessary Permissions
When a user connects a new bank account through online banking, the user is asked by their bank to select different levels of permission allowed for the connection through Happy Mango. If user does not select the correct permission, the newly added account cannot be authenticated for ACH payment use. Some users have encountered "server error" when clicking "Use for Payment" because they did not grant Happy Mango the required access when connecting their accounts.
We added a pop-up notice, in addition to the notice provided by our account aggregation provider Plaid, asking users to give Happy Mango access to their account number and routing number, thus enabling the account for future use as ACH payment source.
Added Explanation and Instruction on Inactive "Use for Payment" Status
We improved the logic for the inactivated "Use for Payment" link and added a pop-up window triggered by the "?" mark next to it. One of the following message will be displayed if the "Use for Payment" link is inactivated and when user clicks on the question mark.

Financial Coach and Counselor Portal
Optimized Data Structure to Minimize Data Conflicts During Account Creation
In some incidents, users could not complete registering new user account on the financial coach portal because multiple accounts had been created unintentionally. We restricted the active online instance for each user to only one to eliminate possible data conflicts on the portal. The improved data structure also ensures that agency admins can freely add, deactivate, and permanently delete user accounts within their agency without having to contact our support team for account activation or deactivation.
