This release included changes in our data structure linking Consumer and Small Business Users and their activities to their Counselors. These changes will set the foundation for future UI updates on the Counselor Portal in the next releases. In addition, we continued to make improvements on the payment related functions among other changes.
Consumer and Small Business User Portal
Added Automated Email Alerts Prompting Users to Replace Inactive Payment Source
Borrowers who have signed up for automatic ACH are required to have a functioning bank account linked to each active loan as its payment source. When this bank account becomes deactivated or closed, a system-generated email alert is sent to the borrower, prompting the borrower to log into Happy Mango and link a different payment source. We expanded the triggering events for this alert to include each time when a loan payment is due and there is no active payment source. The borrower will be reminded multiple times as long as the loan is active until a new functioning bank account has been added and linked to the loan as the new payment source.
Updated Spanish Translation
We updated the Spanish translation throughout the site including the user alert messages. We welcome users to help us improve the completeness and accuracy of the Spanish translation by sending us corrections or suggestions.

Added Function to Switch Individual Loan from Non-ACH to ACH Payment Method
Smart ACH can now be turned on for individual loans even if the loan product does not select ACH as the payment method.

Distinguished Passport ID by US and Non-US
As more applicants with non-US passports are using Happy Mango, we are asking institutional users to specify US Passports and/or Non-US Passports in selecting documents for upload when using the Product Settings function.
